Skid Delivery for Innovative PFAS Water Treatment Technology

Context

An early client of Next Rung Technology was developing a first-generation skid to operate their novel water treatment technology and needed support from a team experienced in skid design and delivery. The primary goal of the project was to solve a major OPEX expenditure of their system.

Process

Starting with a block flow diagram and process concept provided by the client, the Next Rung Technology team worked with the client to develop P&ID’s and equipment specification. The Next Rung team worked very closely with the client through quoting, fabrication, and installation of the system. Next Rung has since become the client’s go-to engineering partner. Additional activities have included detailed process design, grant development, project coordination internally and with partner technologies and suppliers, equipment sourcing, techno-economic analysis, and system deployment support.

Outcomes

With help from Next Rung, the client successfully delivered their first skid system. The company has since gone on to secure a large contract for the remediation of forever chemicals and continues to look to Next Rung Technology as an integral part of their extended engineering team to further develop and deploy their technology. Next Rung is working to design and develop the company’s second-generation skid system for deployment in this effort, by aiding in design, vendor management, instrumentation & controls scoping and more. The team continues to work diligently to ensure the client is provided with a system that fits their needs on their desired timeline.
